Our Annual Awards Luncheon
“Women of Distinction Luncheon & Silent Auction”
This year’s Women of Distinction Luncheon & Silent Auction is scheduled for Saturday, March 27th at the Los Angeles Athletic Club in downtown Los Angeles.
SILA will be honoring women for their extraordinary compassion, leadership and commitment in our shared struggle to globally improve the lives of all women and girls. In addition to recognizing high school and college students, the highlight of the event will be the presentation of the “Ruby Award” to a local hero that through her professional and personal efforts is making an extraordinary difference in the lives of women and girls in the Los Angeles area.
Proceeds from the event will support SILA to fulfill its mission. For 88 years, the business and professional women of SILA have been providing continuous programs of service to the Los Angeles community. Our ongoing programs of service include the provision of shelter, counseling, education and training assistance for women and children who are recovering from the effects of domestic violence, and transitioning to independent family living in the community.
Join us as we pay tribute to local women and girls who support our vision of a making a difference through community volunteer services and advocacy efforts on behalf of women’s issues. The Women of Distinction Luncheon offers you this opportunity and the honor to celebrate our distinguished honorees, who themselves have been relentless in our collective struggle to globally improve the status of women and girls.
