December 3, 2008: SILA visits the Hertzberg Davis Forensic Science Center on the CSLA campus. The group was treated to a demonstration by Professor Don Johnson & presentation describing the evolution of this state of the art laboratory & the "CSI Effect."

October 13, 2008: Julie Mairs gave SILA a provocative & informative presentation on Human Trafficking.

March 12, 2008: Julie Mairs & SILA spearhead a cross institutional policy summit on Ending Violence Against Women.
